Sabah, Malaysian Borneo has been regarded as one of the best destinations in the world for relaxing vacations. The main attractions are naturally Sabah’s beautiful islands with sandy beaches, blue waters and magnificent coral reefs, pristine rainforest, favourable climate, fascinating tradition and culture and abundant endemic wildlife.

It began five years ago when Dr Yee Moh Chai, a deputy chief minister, lamented that there was a card for all occasions but “we could never find a teacher’s day card.” So in 2006 a few schools took up his idea and organized a contest which drew 300 drawings from pupils for one. Twenty thousand of them in Malay, English and Chinese were printed and sent to teachers in their honour. This year 200,000 Teacher’s Day cards were produced from 43 of the best drawings from 1,020 pupils
