The ringgit reached a 14-year high of 2.9335 against the U.S. dollar on July 27 and it has been trading at about 2.98 ringgit to the dollar since. Inflation, though, has edged up to 3.3% but that has not stopped people from spending for Aidilfitri as they throng shopping complexes.
